was put on the line with "para legal" ( read bum) and he said call was being recorded. I ask if O.K. to record also. He says yes and then procedes talking. I say waite just a second and then say o.k. and then state this is being recorded and ask him to state his name and company. All the while he is trying to talk over me by asking if I intend to pay this debt.
(P.S. I don't have recorder hooked up yet.)
I finally got a word in edge-wise and stated to : NOT contact us about this account by phone and ALL contact should be made by mail to the address they have on file. ( Got my first letter by mail yesterday and have not sent Cease Comm. or valadition letter yet)
This JERK just kept saying over and over " are you going to pay this debt?" Getting louder and louder all the time till I hung up.
Do you think this will stop the calls until I send the "letter"?
I have to say that when I first found this site I thought you guys were being a little hard on these collectors BUT now I see where you are coming from. This was the most... well I don't even have words for it.
I'm an ex-cop and there is NOT much that shakes me and I am VERY used to verbal abuse and the like but this one called for a shot of J.D. .
I so wish I had my recorder hooked up! This guy came off sounding like a a$$H***. I'm sure the FTC or AG would LOVED to hear this.
Sorry, I'm so fired up now I want to call them and turn the tables.( I'm very good at it as I took a class in "verbal judo" while in law enforcement and it's fun.) It would be GREAT to receive a Cease Comm. from them! LOL.
Can you send a cease comm. to them and then call them every day?
Sorry guys, I am NOT the re-active type I am PRO-ACTIVE! THEY CROSSED THE LINE! NOW THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME!
A$$h***s like the one one that contacted me should be shot and bill his family for the bullet.
