You DO need to file a request for validation/verification and remember to send it certified mail/return receipt requested(it costs about $4 and the PO people will show you how) ALSO, you can be fairly certain that they WILL NOT sue you. This is merely a threat that they tell everyone, yet RARELY do, EXTREMELY rarely on disputed (request for vailidaiton) accounts. A good site to check out is www.budhibbs.com and remember you will RARELY be sued over a CC debt, except for Discover Card.......so kinda consider waiting out the BK thing and I'd bet that you wont EVER be sued. If you file BK you WILL HAVE BAD CREDIT FOR 10 years, if you simply choose to ignore CA's, you most likely NOT BE SUED by more than 1 or two account (which you will be able to negotiate down anyways) Dont jump to BK and DONT BE INTIMIDATED BY CA'S!!! Good luck :-)
