If you negotiate a settement with the CA you should try to have a lawyer do it for you.

What you need to get ,in writing, is an agreement to NOT object to a filing to vacate the judgment.Or an agreement by the CA lawyer to file to vacate.

This will keep the judgment off your reports.

As to the OC report. IF it is the OC who sued, you can have as part of the settlement an agreement that they will NOT verify if you dispute.

If it is a CA who filed, nd they are reporting ALSO, you can request that THEY do not vrify a dispute, but theywould have no control over the OC.

If you have enough funds in your bank account to pay this, and you EVER used the same account to pay on this debt with the OC, your $$ may already be frozen.
