I tried a debt negotiaton company. Didn't work, now a debt elimination company. Now have 2 accounts in court. One served complaint, other did not. I don't want anymore complaints. Should I attempt to call creditors and negotiate settlement? Last payment Feb 02, all accounts show charged-off on report. I want to put an end to this problem, the worry and stress from not knowing what will happen next. Don't have enough funds to pay everything, but could pay smaller amounts. I tried disputing several accounts, but not MBNA accounts. They were already past the arbitration stage. We trusted these people to "take care" of this debt. Now it appears we are going to have to go to court. I've moved our money to different account. Can even possible pay 50% of all debts now. I live in NC.
