I'm in MI, but the lease was in FLA. First Florida Financial has assumed the debt as of 9/2001 and has concluded it legitimate without a judgment and only the landlords word. The debt is $3600, but I vacated with only one month left on a lease of $875 a month and nothing in the itemized document that the landlord sent to the CR seems justified, except the the final months rent and cost to advertise to re-rent.

The landlord is seeking new refrig, new carpets and nearly a thousand in yard cleanup. The lease only stated if I didn't want to mow, that $15 a week would be billed. I did and kept up the property well, except the last month. They are reporting to all 3 and are threatning a judgment. Do I have recourse? Can anyone help?
