sounds right to me JK. i will add this..check to see if they have been renewed. they r only good for 10 years here. and also many loan companies will re finance with bad credit. u may have a higher interest rate but my credit is screwed anyways so i knew that to begin with. once ur house is re-fied and if u ever have it foreclosed they cant come after u for the balance owed vs sell price either. a nice perk! be VERY CAREFUL if the judgements r still active..any amount u get in re-financing will go to pay the judgments first and anything charged off on ur credit.!!!. please be careful! im in texas too..i wish u luck. we used centex loan in dallas for our house and the loan guy was very nice..very up front with me..it cost us up front the 200$ appraisal is all. sorry i cant spell for crap today! i also do not think u can vacate judgements on a BK. prolly no one said anything cause they knew u couldnt and didnt want to spend their time telling u this. its up to u to watch ur backside ..not them. they keep quiet and know if u go for a house re-fi the loan company will pay off the judgement first. our abstract company did. they kept all the amounts needed for anything on the bad credit report..luckily the accounts were charged off a month AFTER we re-fied!!! hahahahah. there was some small totally wrong amounts reported by cap one like 42$ and 250$ and they made us pay them off. had we waited 2 months longer..we woulda been screwed big time. whew. for once something turned out ok. be careful sweety! and gooood luck!
