I've heard the authorized user isn't liable for actually paying the bill but creditors can report the bill as being past due and the status of the past due bill on the authorized users credit report. So I guess if you file bankruptcy it could show on your girlfriends' report even if she is not responsible for paying it. This sounds unfair to me but it is what I read some where. I've heard of college students having crap on their report for being an authorized user on their parents cards.
