I think Credigy is full of it. I would suggest you check with your local courthouse and see if you have been sued. Sounds like they are lying and threatening. Also, sounds like the SOL has passed. If SOL has passed, the debt is beyond the legal time for collection. They can attempt to collect, but they cannot sue. If the SOL has passed, and they do sue you, SOL is your defense.Don't believe anything they tell you. Don't talk to them on the phone, everything, if anything, should be in writing. Find out for sure if they have sued you, and get the exact SOL info. When was the last payment to the original creditor. If it was 1999, and your SOL is four years, then the SOL is your defense if you are sued.
