u have 30 days from when you intially get a call from CA, to then tell them u will handle the problem directly with creditor. i had same problem. fleet credit card charge off and Cambece law office kept saying they were going to take me to court. i said go ahead i can only afford to pay $30.00 a month and the judge cant make me pay more. finally they accepted payment and havent heard from them since
