It was charged off after 180 days, but you still owe the debt. It has been sold to the CA who bought it for pennies on the dollar. I had about 10 credit cards, and only one sued me and that was very close to SOL (4 years) CAs lie and threaten. My strategy was to ignore them. It is pointless to talk to a CA. Save yourself the stress and let the machine pick up. Don't return the calls and they will move onto easier prey. Good Luck
Forgot, it might have been assined to the CA, and in that case they can not sue you, and they can not threaten to sue you. If assigned, it will then be either assigned or sold to another CA. Ignore all of them.
