Ok, if this was me... This is what I'd do...

#1 Find out if there is actually a court date. Find out with what judge.
On the papers that the husband was served it should say the judges name.
Call the courthouse, ask for that Judges quarters.
His/her clerk will answer the phone.
Tell them of the situation But make sure to mention that neither ladies were properly served and theat they no longer live in that state. They can only sue you in the county where you live. The clerk will help you and direct you to your next step. But get one step ahead of them...
Because they will get a judgment on her if they lie and say she wassssss served....
