The registration is in your name. If they report it stolen. The license plates are in your name. If they report it stolen, they are breaking the law. It was just a scare tactic. However, try to catch up ASAP, they will get the car eventually. You will then be charged for the costs of searching for the car. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE UP.
