"""The account is so old that it is literally months from falling off the report."" and u want to wake up the collectors? lol. ur impatience will get u bit in the butt. cant sympathize with that sorry. it takes 7 years to fall off a credit report..diff times for a states SOL. why anyone would want to decide to pay something is beyond me. aint fighting, just being truthful. if u update as paid it still looks just as bad on ur credit and may possibly reset the 7 year limit. (not sure on this one board?) there is simply no point in paying it. not to mention the hassle both verbal and legal to deal with CAs and settlements worded exactly right when u dont have to. it wont be deleted any faster cause society moves slowly on notifying and changing credit reports. that alone takes months. any way u go hon u make no sense. sorry.
