Not true. All of my FICO scores are 800+, and we just re-fied the house a year ago for 5.5%.

Why am I here? Because of faulty 'skip traces' made by moronic CAs (JBC and others) that falsely placed garbage on my credit reports, and caused me grief getting that loan.

Now, I keep a regular eye on my reports. I have learned one heck of a lot regarding credit, and no one will take advantage of me.
