You can try, but CRA's will likely ignore it, or send an inquiry to the CA. If the CA verifies, you MIGHT have grounds to file a lawsuit against them for breach of contract.

Most likely-- they will delete, after of course, they have sold the balance to another CA, who can then report it a a NEW collection account plus interest for another 7 years.

Because you signed a NEW contract(the settlement agreement) it will be VERY hard to get it off your reports, as the OC is no longer a factor.
