A non exempt asset is an asset that can be attached by the creditors. Exempt assets vary according to state. A non exempt asset could be a bank account, vacation home, or other luxury item. Most assets are at least in part exempt from seizure by creditors. http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/bankruptcyexemptions.htm Find your state and check to see if you have assets not listed as exempt.
