Whew!! Thank you Whychat for responding so quickly. I was waiting and praying someone would answer quickly. :) I plan to save about $50 per month if possible, and a relative says when she gets her income tax she may provide me a gift of $300 to help so I can pay off he $600 to avoid interest. Do you have any ideas about the "discovery of assets"? Should i believe the lawyer when he says they will not be calling me to court again while I'm unemployed? Would they have asked for "discovery of assets" during court if they were going to do that? I'm trying to decide if I should stop having my ssi check automatically deposited into my account just in case. The lawyer was surprisingly very nice, he even gave me his direct number and said if I have any more questions to call him. I hope he is sincere. I was surprised that out of all the people being sued by capital one only myself and two other people showed up. Maybe that is why he was so agreeable. I actually shocked him when they called my name and I walked up to the podium. lol I guess he expected me to be a no show also. Knocking off the $600 helped a lot, and considering they could legally have added that extra money I'm still in shock that he lowered it. Tia
