There is nothing you can put in a letter to PREVENT a CA from re-selling the remainder of a supposedly settled debt. Doing so would be considered 'restraint of trade' - they don't have to abide by it and it would be illegal. Since CA's cannot issue 1099-C's, you can't even get that to stop further collection on the remainder. To put it bluntly, the fact that no other CA has contacted you about the other settled debts may be a lucky conincidence for you - 5 years from now you'll be gettin' a call from SCAMCO for those !!
