Question on how long late car payments stay on CR.

I had a 48 month car note from Oct 1996 to Oct 2000 through Primus. During that time I had several 30-60 day late payments. My question is: Will these late pays drop off one at a time as the 7 years ticks past each one or will I have to wait for 7 years past the final payment date of Oct 2000?
