If I were you ...

1. I would not tell the bank anything.
2. Make other arrangements to pay your bills and withdraw the majority of the money from the account. Leave just enough in to keep the account open.
3. Just to be safe, I would have the checks mailed to me for now on, instead of the direct deposit.
4. I would file an exemption with the court for the SSI money. You'll have to figure out how your local court handles these type of filing.

Any money you have in that account prior to your exemptions being recognized by the court is in danger.

Even after you do all of this, your account may still be frozen or seized. Why? Because people make mistakes, they are underhanded, whatever. Once you're in a situation like this, law or no law, you can not predict what your judgment creditor will do and possibly get away with.

Whatever you do, do not fall for what other people may tell you about how such-and-such is illegal or "They can't do that!" because the illegality of the action won't matter when you're up to your eyeballs in papers and nerves to undo what they've done to you.

I think your task right now is to do whatever is necessary within the law to minimize the effect this judgment can have on you--whatever that turns out to be.
