I'm in debt with a few CC co for the last couple of years and the CAs are hounding me almost everyday with their phone calls and mail. At this moment in my life I have nothing, no home, no money, no bank account and no cars but I have recently finished a book and the manuscript is being read at a very large publishing house. My agent says that it sounds promising but we would have to wait and see. My question is what IF I get a 6 figure deal (I hope!) or to be realistic a large sum of money/advance from the book, is there any way they can get a wind of it and come after me with a lawsuit? Can they win and legally freeze my bank account? Thanks in advance!
