I think Parry gave you very good advice. Plus you will be receiving a lump sum from social security and you will want to protect that. It is a good idea to set up an account for the social security alone, easier to prove if there is ever a question about it. I think you are a long way from being sued, but that is just my opinion. SOMETHING TO REMEMBER FOR THE FUTURE. NC is a tenants by the entirety state. That means that if you do, ever do own a house (joint ownership and are sued on an individual account, your house is protected. Get a new account with your husband as primary. The only other advice I can give you is that if you are sued, hire an attorney for help.
