If you haven't already put a stop payment on the check, or closd the account, it is probably too late. They will drain your account of whatever is in there and your other checks will bounce.

The "DOLA" is unimportant, when was your last payment TO DISCOVER on an active account without late charges or past due fees? I will BET it was just after you were married, or even before.

The CA who called you (PLEASE PLEASE don't call him back) is an obvious scam bottom feeder, certainly NOT Discover Card.How do I know?? It's easy-- the tactics he used are illegal.

Whoever called most likely had no legal right to collect on the account anyway.
