You responded to my posting "check by phone". (If this is not J. Kelly see that posting to get the scoop) You have been so helpful. Here's my question: I checked the exemptions for Alabama, and according to that, we have NOTHING of any value. So after getting a new bank account at a new bank with my name on the account only, we should be ok.
As for the CA who calls, should we just ignore him? Since we have already talked to him on the phone, can we still send a letter to him requesting validation of the debt (received first letter through mail from them a few days ago), or would there be any need? If they do validate it, should we settle for anything? Thanks for all the help....:o)
