This explains it. This company is one of the dirtiest collection agencies out there. They do NOT follow FDCPA rules. They will try and sue on time barred debts. They will sue on bankruptcy discharged debt if they think they can get away with it. Please see a consumer attorney at your state at the www.naca.net site. In your question title, say Sherman Acq is trying to collect on bankruptcy discharged debt. Then write them an email and explain exactly what happened, details and dates. You will need a good attorney with this "criminal" outfit. They are criminals.
