1)from your point of view as an 'insider', does the new opt out idea have that much effect on the agressiveness of the CAs?
A) It did'nt on me BUT the bigger guys it may. They have "models" they go by.(a numbers game)

I opted out around Christmas and have receieved letters from MBNA, nothing in months; and also asset acceptance is on my ass, i've recieved three letters in two weeks, i'm using one of them as a coaster for my beer at this very moment:) Since this opt out theory supposedly blocks them from 'whatever', might this piss them off and cause a sudden agression? will the CAs knowing i've opted out give them the impression that i'm on to them?
A) It very well could. you have to remember I am very small and move fast as I am local. I did'nt watch to see what was "moving" I just saw what was there and acted.

Last question. I am unemployed as of now, i plan on having a FT and PT job withing the next two weeks. my car is a piece of shit and it's getting to the point where the repairs are worth more than the car's value (don't you hate that?!?) a new (used) car will be a necessity within the next months. i can deal with having an astronomical rate for a car loan, but how would one lay below the radar in looking for car loans without waking 'your former allies' :) i'm only 3 years into my 6 year SOL. thanks for any info.

A) That is a tough one. maybe having a friend or family member get the loan and you sign a "private" contract. The friend or family member would be protected with your "private" contract and you would not show up on any "paper work".

Did I pass?
