I have just been delivered a complaint arbitration, being sued for back funds to Visa company that I neglected to pay monthly. A lawyer in my area has taken over the cast. The company handling the account is UMLIC in North Carolina. I want to know if there it is okay to contact the lawyer an make an arrangement to pay this debt without going to court or is it too late at this point. I want to make good on this. My debt is $13,000. His legal fees are over $7,000. How is that possible. Can I contact the UMLIC company to pay this at this point or is too late.
