Again, I'm not the one to give answers to your problems here but I do know one thing, do not ignore any court stuff!!! The last thing you want is a default Judgement. You're lucky it's Sept 2004....read read read before then!!! Know more than the other guy.

I linked WhyChats site to this reply, read everything!! Read all state & federal laws in regards to debt collecting! Search your state's laws youself, you might find somethig that helps you. If you find the collection agency you've been dealing with has broken any you can use that as leverage against them. he laws are there to help you, use them!

Sorry I can't give you any concrete answers but I do have more questions that I know will help other on this forum help you...

When was the last time you made a payment to the original creditor First Bank Visa? Very important!

Did you sign anything with the collection agency? How long have you paid them? Did they ever validate the debt? Have you ever made them prove their legal right to collect the debt?
