Non-dischargeable refers to the 60 days prior to filing BK where it is presumed that large purchases and cash advances weren’t intended to be paid for. If you really went hog wild with the charges, then they can possibly go back up to 2 years to object for outrageous cash advances and purchases. You are safe from objections for charges made in 2001. Also, very few of the OCs probably even still own the accounts. They would have been sold to collection agencies that couldn’t object to the discharge. Don’t worry about this. For the most part, none of the unsecured creditors will ever even show up. It’s next to impossible to object to a discharge based on the idea that someone ran up the cards. Besides, if you are a chapter 7, there’s nothing for them to get by getting into a protracted, expensive dispute over a discharge.
