Sherman Aquisitions is a NASTY, NASTY lying bunch. This group is a group of thugs and criminals. If you don't believe me, do a search of this site for Sherman. Go to www.ripoffreport.com and do a search for Sherman Acquisitions and go to any of the credit boards such as www.creditnet.com and do a search for Shermans.

First thing is you better get something in writing, signed by a manager of the company that you would verify that you are in fact speaking to a person who is authorized to make this settlement. Then you need to get that person's name, the agencie's license number and have a settlement offer in WRITING with the agreement of SETTLED IN Full and zeroed out before you send them one dime. And don't EVER, EVER send them a personal check or a company check. It should be postal money order. These guys will raid your bank accounts. Finally, expect them to sell the remaining balance of your employees account to another collection agency and your employee's hell will begin all over again. Furthermore, there will be a nice little courtesy note placed on the account listing the nice boss as a reliable payment source for said employee.

You want to be nice but you are dealing with the devil. As the boss you don't have to take their calls. YOu can report them to the phone company for harrasment of your employees. Your employee can send them a cease and desist letter telling them not to contact him at work.

Good luck.
