I can understand your plight given your age and circumstances. I know you will get through this as you are definitely not a quitter.

But for some younger people:

The military is always hiring, good steady work, no lay offs and often attractive signing bonuses. In addition they will pay for education, life insurance and medical, dental and housing. My dh served his time in the military and even though he never made a fortune it paid enough for him to live comfortably and feed his family.

The US government is also continually hiring for various civilian employment opportunities. There is work out there that doesn't include fries and sodas, one must just find it.
Sometimes we have to make sacrifices along the way and take jobs that we normally wouldn't be interested in. I am speaking from complete experience with this.
