Check your state exemptions. http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/bankruptcyexemptions.htm Take your money out of the bank, and put it into something that is exempt. On individual accounts, you might put the house in spouses name. But, this must be done well in advance, and not without the advice of an attorney in your state. Look for a consumer attorney here: http://www.naca.net
