last time she paid on acct was about a year ago. Still waiting for credit report to see what is being reported, but it's way over 180 days... should be charged off, right? She called the CC co. and complained as to the practices being used by the CA. Threats, extortion. She was told unless she paid the settled upon aggremnet, they'd put a lien on our house. She didn't know any better, but that threat should be considered extortion as far as I'm concerned. I was wondering what kind of support I'd get from the FTC or FBI (seeing how it was done over the phone, across state lines....)
Any ideas, on how to proceed...??
