I have a charged off account. A CA keeps hounding me. If it as been only assigned, can negotiations still be made with the original creditor? If so, would I even want to?? (Discover, $6,000 balance, last activity date was 4/2002. Live in Alabama, and SOL is 3yrs.) The advice given in this forum, is it good advice for both assigned and sold accounts, or does it depend on which one it is (such as what to do if sued)???
