If you go to court and a creditor wins a judgement against you, if you tell the judge and creditor you are unemployed, if the judge or creditor do not request information concerning your checking account, can the creditor still take money out of your account without your knowledge based solely on the fact that they have a judgment against you? Or will the creditor need to request that you return to court to get permission from the judge to take money from your account? In other words, if my checking account never came up in court and the creditor only got a judgement, is that as far as it will go and will I be notified in advance of the creditors intent to take money from account?
