I received a similar letter--saying the same thing from Merrick bank offering me a 10% settlement on a credit card I never had with Merrick from 1995!!

They promised to notify the CB that my account would be reported settled. The thing is--it was already past the (7) year reporting limitations and was not listed on my CR.

They are bottom feeder--dreck--debt buyers and there is nothing they can do.

I personally would not waste my time and postage filing any complaints as it will drop off your credit soon.
