Hey board. I recently had an account for $11k sent to collections, Creditors Interchange. I think they are working for someone else. Anyway, I am a salaried employee. I have a tax refund that could pay off about 40% of this thing coming to me. I worry about lawsuits, as that is what they are telling me is about to happen. I have no other debt besides this one. What should I do? If they settle with me, and I get it in writing, can I get this removed from my CR? Does anyone know an attorney that can help me, or someone I could call? I am in Michigan. A long unemployement caused this, and I don't want my wages garnished or I'll fall in a hole again. Thanks, Pattie
