thanks for replying.what does "opt out" mean? Even if she was just an authorized user isn't she still responsible for the debt since she ran it up AFTER my fathers passing? if she negotiates with the collection agency should she tell them about my fathers death or negotiate as herself.Would it be better to negotiate or could this cause her more trouble. If she ignores the collection agency and they sue my father and obtain a judgment and later find out he is deceased what would their next step be. Im sorry about all these questions but I need to find out the best solution to this problem. Is it really possible to negotiate with collection agencies or do they agree to take a certain amount and then turn over the rest to another collection agency .I am concerned that trying to face the problem and find a solution could cause more trouble than just ignoring it.Any help is much appreciated! she ran up the debt in ohio but has recently moved to virginia
