Okay, I must be the first on this one ref 1099-c.
At the end of Feb 04 will be one year since I made a payment on 7 accounts that are all be charged off on the CRA reports. 6 accounts have attempted collection and I have used the Validation process on them and have stopped them, except for Am Express which apparently does not sell the account only assigns it to a CA, for two of the accounts are back with Am Express and they are trying to collect directly. The one account that never went to a CA and the OC charged off has sent the 1099-c, I got it today for JP Morgan Chase. Anyone got any ideas on how to handle this or where I can get info on what to do? Please send me an email.
