Thank you for responding as always so quickly to questions. If you don't mind, there are just 2 more questions :

1. The lawyer keeps referring to the application form as a credit card contract. I signed above a statement that says "This is a credit agreement regulated by the consumer credit act 1974. Sign only if you want to be legally bound by its terms"

Does this make the application a unilateral contract ?

2. The debt originated in England. The credit agreement is regulated by the British consumer credit act of 1974. Terms of the application state that "This agreement is subject to English (United Kingdom) law .... ".

Is this a relevant point to raise in my complaint ? Should the case even be brought up in the US courts ?
