I found out from personal experiene the following in a Florida case the same. I beat a CA because of the SOL:
The CA also wanted to have a witness testimony by phone. I objected in a motion, but they let it in anyway-the VP of the CA.
HOWEVER, I did notice after my case-which I won-that it stated in the courts own instructions, that is should not have been allowed.
In the court house instructions in Palm Beach County, the help sheet that is a couple of pages long, gives you helpful hints for court. When I read it, it clearly stated that "parties to the trial preceeding could not testify by telephonic means..." Witnesses for either side could, but if the person works for the CA, they are a party by definition, and he shouldn't have been allowed.
Check your county!!!
