The best answer to file is called a "boiler plate" answer.

After that you need to come up with an interogatory and motion for production of documents to get the evidence, or lack there of from the defendant.

I recommend that after you recieve the responses from the rogs and the production for docs you either counter sue for TILA violations if the plaintiff is a creditor, and usury violations if the plaintiff is a CA.

Be aware that is the general way I woudl attempt to try a case, however I'm not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

One peice of good advice I can give you lawyer or not is to head over to nolo press and get your hands on a book called "how to prepare and try a winning lawsuit" or something or another (can't remember the exact name). I hear its a pretty good book to read to familiarize yourself with the court process.

Back to the "boiler plate" answer... Basically it deny all allegations on the plaintiffs complaint and lists all the affirmative defenses you can think of, whether or not they may apply.
