To my knowledge it's the banks that report you, not the creditor.

Dispute it like a bad mark on you credit. Hound them and hound them, then with luck it will drop off (mine did).

It cost me three letters cmrr. First to dispute, second after 30 days to say what's up no resolution, and the third to say delete or I will sue (you had a reasonable time to investigate).
