Should I get an attorny? My husband received an notice of arbitration (I am not on the account) from W&A MBNA. He went crazy and had a mental breakdown MBNA gave him a $25,000 unsecured loan that we cannot pay. This sounds horrible but we live in a $370,000 house that we bought during the time of his breakdown. We live in Minnesota. Most of the money for the house was from me from a condo I owned before we were married. What steps should I take to protect myself and my house? I have a perfect credit report because we do not have any joint accounts besides the mortgage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. By the way he has been working with ADNS for a few months paying them $375 two times a week.
