Is this a judgment from a NY court? It would have to have been renewed, I believe. I would call the court and check. There are people/CA's who purchase uncollectable judgments and then do things like this.

Anyone applying for a mortgage should opt out with the cRA's first. They sold your name, because you had not opted out, or you were on a skiptrace list (not likely or they would have found you since you changed your address).
