Your 27 (good age to have child). Your married for 4-5 years now, wife has good job, your doing well get a house, some savings, credit cards have "some" on them but nothing you can't manage. Baby comes along and there is a problem! wife has to take extened leave to care for sick child. You lose 30 to 40 % of income. You have a budget for both but you cut corners and do without and are able to "get by". Your doing VERY well in your job and things are looking up and then on Friday the "BOSS" says the company has merged with another( not too un-heard of in your line of work.) But your NOW upper management and the "NEW" company has someone in that position. This is your LAST work week! You get ONE more check and thats it. You now have to convert your insurance and it is now &540.00/mo instead of &30.00/week and that is for only 18 mos. then you are droped.
I could go on and on but tell me ; how long would your savings last ( please be trueful) in a situtation like this. You have to take a job that is half your normal pay. Can you keep up with the NOW accelerated payments from the CC company? Gee you have been with them for 15 + years. You think they would understand? NO!
They are the ones that have forced me into BK7.
I hope you go away from here with a little better insite to what you are dealing with.

Jeff
