A Year and a Half Later and You Charge Me?

I signed up with World Gym and it was supposed to be no a no contract thing, I was told I could cancel but had to give 30 day notice. I went once and gave notice a month later their collection agaency contacted me and I advised them that I had cancelled I was put on hold and 15 min later I was told ok. Same thing again a month later. Never heard from them again for a year, the 2 days ago they charged 150 dollars to my credit card. I have called World Gym and I am not getting a response back, I calle dthe collection comapny and she advised me that they turned the account back over to World Gym because they couldn't collect, I asked her to mail me transcripts from our previous conversations for when I confront the gym. I have also had an employee pull my record for how many times I visited the club, which they show none, he said that should help to prove my case. Is there anything else that I can do?
