ty, i spent all day tryin to do just that. i have i think 6 accounts ...all charged off..dont ask, i was stupid i know..i take responsibilty for it. but i have asked..called..today i got the "recovery center" they call it and twice they hung up on me. after waiting for 10 mins to just get transferred. i would kill to know how they did that. i could pay this mess if it wasnt for the interest and late fees. 28% and higher. like i said..one was for 200$ and 10 months i have paid 400$ (paid $395 in nov) and owe another 400$...800$ in less than a year on a 200$ bill! if u find out..i would dearly love to know who to ask..or speak to. its that, that is killing us paying it back. i even told them i had this emergency and would be late paying..and that started it, cause the next month i owed..29$ late fee...29$ overlimit and god knows what in interest. i was done by the second month. mine r only assigned also. and 6 months charged off. if u would, i would appreciate it. ty. :) thats why i asked the question on hardship..as the CA..viking..said if i would apply for it cap 1 would stop the interest. but i got told not to..so im lost still lol.
