I contacted the court today regarding the judgement and was asked to give a docket#. The only docket# that was listed on this copy of a court order, was the sheriff's docket#. The clerk said that she needed the court docket# and that the order was probably renewed for another 10 yrs.(no help there). I then contacted the civil process division from where the letter came from. I was told that I needed to contact the attorny for judgement creditor, which was listed on the court order 11yrs ago. I had to look him up in the phone book because his location as well as his phone number has since changed. Haven't heard back from him yet. It's very difficult to distinguish between what was the original and what was added to this copy of a court order. I do know that the SS# that they have listed is incorrect(wrong order). Also, the employer that they have listed on there is incorrect(same system but incorrect). It is however stamped by the sheriff's civil division with year2004. The date placed at the bottom of the order is Dec.2003. The date(1997) from which I must pay interest, is in hand writing on this court order, and at the very bottom of course is small text saying this communication is from a debt collector.(you think?) What's with all the touch ups? Is this legal? If you have any answers at all please let me know. thank you
