I keep reading about asking for validation, and I'm wondering exactly what a creditor would need to produce to meet the validation requirement. I haven't used a credit card in a long time, but it seems to me that when you charge something and sign the receipt, it says "this is your agreement to pay." Wouldn't they have to produce every charge slip? If they simply sent you a computer print out of what they say are various charges you made, how can they prove that each and every charge is valid and was made by you?
